Tours & Schedule

Tours

Join us for an insider’s look at New York City’s art scene of galleries, museums, artist studios, and public art.

Small groups explore exhibitions and viewings in established art neighborhoods and those “on the fringe.” Tours are occasionally arranged to places such as Prospect 1 in New Orleans, the Venice Biennale, Marfa (pictured above), Crystal Bridges, and more.

Each two-hour tour costs $70 per person; a package of five tours costs $300. The regular tours are scheduled on Wednesday mornings and afternoons, and Thursday mornings. Gift certificates can be arranged.

Custom Private Tours

Have a group of friends and want to focus your looking? Inquire about custom tours to meet your interests. A private tour for up to six people costs $500.

Want the comfort of your home while learning about contemporary art?  I will continue to hold virtual tours and discussions via Zoom this year. I have a regular schedule of virtual tours; these, too, can be customized; and I can share recordings of past events.

Cecily Brown

At the Met

Katz: Gathering occupies the central rotunda, providing an almost cinematic viewing of his paintings. As he states, each one is a record of “quick things passing,” freezing in time the flux of everyday life in a vivid burst of optical perception-like a single cell from an animated movie. Cave: Forothermore–don’t look it up. It is a new word testifying to Cave’s intent to create space in our imagination for marginalized people, especially queer people of color and the working class. Sculpture, installation, video, costumes, instrument-making: it is a wild ride.
